PET Bottle Manufacturing Process

The PET bottle manufacturing process consists of two main stages: preform molding and bottle blowing.

Perform Molding: PET plastic is heated and melted in a machine, changing the plastic pellets from a solid to a liquid state. The plastic is then injected into a mold to create the desired shape for the product. Subsequently, a cooling system cools the preform, and it is removed from the mold. The preform must be fully cooled before proceeding to the bottle-blowing stage.
Bottle Blowing: Once the preform is ready, it is taken to a bottle-blowing machine. When fixed onto the machine, the preform passes through a system of heating lamps to soften it further, making it easier to shape. During the blowing process, compressed air is pumped into the preform, creating pressure that molds it into the final product shape. The final product’s shape depends on the chosen mold design. After the bottle-blowing process is completed, the product is packaged and prepared for transportation.
